Here’s how and why.

When we first opened Longboard Clinic, we thought “Small operation, a few clients, sweet as”. But we totally underestimated the demand out there for informed longboard instruction. In the last two years we have been utterly overwhelmed with the volume of requests from longboarders seeking help.  This has proved to be a bit of a dilemma. There is only one Big Ben and he’s no spring chicken anymore. He’s also pretty busy writing all the new instructional content for the soon to be updated Longboard Clinic website. So what do we do? Do we expand our coaching operations as well as our website, hire other coaches, and become yet another in the long list of surf schools? Well, we can’t deny the potential income was pretty tempting. But we’re pretty sure the message would have been lost, and anyone that knows Ben well enough also knows that was never going to happen.  Anyway the world really doesn’t need another surf school.

So after a little soul searching, many coffees and much discussion we have decided to take the road less travelled. We’re giving it away for free. Longboard Clinic will no-longer be offering private longboard coaching as a commercial activity.  Rather, every month we will be offering our subscribers the chance to win a free coaching session. These sessions would normally cost $180 each but not anymore. Now each month one lucky subscriber will win a free session.
